Ok Sabbatical Over...
Ok, to all the followers of The Bracketeer: my humblest apologies. I strayed away from the blogging world for a while to focus on school. However, I didn't stop focusing on College Hoops. With one of the most exciting seasons ever on our hands I felt it was and still is my duty to keep everyone informed and entertained. The Bracketeer will post at least 5 new posts a week during Championship Week so keep coming back! My bracket should be up by either late Thursday or Friday.

New Weekly Lineup!
In an effort to add more content than just bracket updates and the day's game lookout, The Bracketeer has devised a sort of series of artcles I will be presenting every day. Well, for all intense and purposes I will be providing an article for every weekday while Friday, Saturday, and Sunday all comprise a 'superday' called The Weekend. Here's the rundown:
The Monday Manifesto
As we all know Monday is the day I post my bracket (most of the time). Posting the week's bracket will be the only article on Monday.
Tuesday Trifecta
The Tuesday Trifecta will be an article pointing out the week's top performer's. Since it is only two days into the week (technically) any player who plays from the previous Tuesday will be examined.
Wednesday Winners
Wedesday will be the day I pick the winners of every important game for the rest of the week.
Thursday Think-Tank
The Thursday Think-Tank will be a segment where The Bracketeer proposes questions and answers them in-depth. A sample question might be: 'What will Arkansas's fate be in the Big dance if they do not win the SEC?' If enough response is accumulated, questions from readers will be considered.
Weekend Watch
The Weekend Watch is where I will highlight the games of the weekend, providing analysis on each.
Along with every weekday article, I will post some games to watch if there are some entertaining ones on. No analysis will be provided for games during the week unless they are very important. Enjoy the lineup!

New Bracket is up!
I know, I know it's a day late. Sorry for those of you who were dissapointed. Classes start and suddenly my entire time is not consumed with making brackets! Anyway, the only change in format is that the projected Conference winners (a.k.a. automatic bids) are in red font instead of being highlighted yellow. I think you guys can figure that out. Enjoy

Today's Festivities
Ok guys and gals, the weekend is for hoops and after Duke played Davidson on Wednesday night, there has been nothing worth interest to watch. But today, that all changes.
2 PM ET ESPN 2 Duke @ Florida State
Alright, we get it. Duke is a great team this season despite their early season doubters. Gerald Henderson is one of those spectacular "hybrid forwards" who can step out and shoot the J and Jon Scheyer is a blazing hot hand. Actually Duke looks as if they're ready to play a national championship game right now. But, beware all you Cameron Crazies, for the Seminoles of Florida State might have something to say about all this. The 'Noles have beaten four top-five teams at home since 2003, which might give them the title of an "upset-heavy" team. Florida State has two big wins on their resume this season, which is uncommon for an ACC team at this point. They beat Cal on a neutral court and Florida (who was ranked at the time) at home. Look for the Seminoles' to realy heavily on their point-scoring guard Toney Douglas to outscore the Dukies. I really want to pick an upset, but I think I'll stay safe and take Coach K's squad on this one.
1 PM ET CBS Kansas @ 12 Michigan State
This is a huge OOC game for both teams. The Spartans could stay perfect at home just in time for a heavy Big Ten schedule to roll in, and the Jayhawks could put themselves on the map bigtime by beating a ranked opponent on the road. So far, Kansas hasn't won on the road but they've only played one road game so that stat doesn't neccesarily count. Look for this to be a tremendously low scoring game, seeing as both teams are allowing under 67 PPG this season. I'm a big Tom Izzo fan but I think Kansas needs a win like this, and they will get it today.
7 PM ET ESPNU Miami (FL) @ 24 Boston College
The Golden Eagles are in disarray right now. They fired their football coach who has led them to two Bowl Games in his career, and after an unprecedented win over top-ranked UNC, they suffer a demoralizing loss to Harvard. Neither team is particularly spectacular or entertaining to watch, but some ACC Conference play is always needed in the bloodstream of a college hoops fan. I think the 'Canes will roll, and the basketball gods will continue their punishment of BC for taking down one of their own.
Ok guys, that's my lineup for today, stay away from those Big East games because we've seen enough already. Keep it on the ACC dial and enjoy!

A Slow Weekend...
Thursday and Friday are some stinky nights for watching hoops. A ranked team doesn't even play tomorrow. Check back tomorrow night for some weekend updates.
